SCGA WOMEN’S AMATEUR QUALIFYING AND CHAMPIONSHIP INFORMATION
5th SCGA WOMEN’S AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP:
Newport Beach Country Club, Newport Beach
54 holes, stroke play.
Monday and Tuesday, July 29 – 30, 2019
72 players will play two rounds.
Monday, July 29th: Rounds 1 and 2 (36 holes stroke play). 72 players will play two rounds.
Following the second round, the field will be cut to the low 30 scores (plus ties)
Tuesday, July 30th: Round 3 (18 holes stroke play)
The Championship will be a walking only event. Golf Carts are only permitted in qualifying rounds.
QUALIFYING ROUNDS (18-holes stroke play):
Thursday, June 27: El Dorado Park Golf Course, Long Beach
Tuesday, July 9: Goose Creek Golf Club, Jurupa Valley
NOTE: Players may only attempt to qualify once.
ELIGIBILITY: This championship is open to female amateur golfers with a USGA Handicap Index of 9.4 or below at the time of registration.
ENTRIES OPEN: Wednesday, January 2, 2019
ENTRY DEADLINE: Sunday, June 16, 2019
PLAYER INFORMATION & PAIRINGS: Complete Tournament Information which includes practice rounds, pairings, starting times, and yardages played will be emailed and posted on scga.org/womensam after entries close.
ENTRY FEE: $125
REFUND POLICY: Full refund less $10.00 processing fee if requested prior to closing date. 50% refund after the closing date and 48 hours prior to the event. No refunds will be honored within 48 hours of the event.
FORMAT: All non-exempt players will participate in an 18-hole stroke play qualifying round. 72 players, including exempts, will advance to the championship.
EXEMPTIONS:
All exempt players must still meet eligibility requirements and register online for the championship prior to the entry closing date.

Any woman in the top 500 of the WAGR as of May 29, 2019
Any woman selected in the 2019 Women’s Golf Coach’s NCAA Div. I All American 1st or 2nd Team
Any woman who reached match play of the 2018 U.S. Girls Junior, U.S. Women’s Amateur & U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur
Current Club champion of Newport Beach CC
